Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore today felicitated police officials of the district for rendering their services with commitment and dedication.

Jalandhar Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural) Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajinder Singh were also honoured by the Governor during a function at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Police Academy here.

The Governor bestowed Police Medal for Gallantry and President’s Police Medal for distinguished service on DCP Rajinder Singh. Badnore also gave Police Medal for meritorious service to SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar.

On the occasion, the Governor bestowed President’s Police Medal for Gallantry on three officers, Police Medal for Gallantry on 13 officers, President’s Police Medal for distinguished service on 19 officials and Police Medal for meritorious service on 139 officers.

The recipients included 10 DGPs, six ADGPs, 27 IGPs, seven DIGs, 24 SSPs/Commandants/AIG, nine SPs, nine DSPs, 29 Inspectors, 23 Sub-Inspectors, 19 ASIs, eight Head Constables and three constables.

On the occasion, Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Praveen Kumar Sinha and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa were also present.
