Puniti of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya secured the fifth position in examination of bachelor of design (semester VIII) in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.



Puniti of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya secured the fifth position in examination of bachelor of design  (semester VIII) in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. In addition, all HMV students of the course passed the eighth semester with distinction. Principal Dr Ajay Sareen congratulated students, HOD Shama Sharma and Dr Rakhi Mehta. She said the college was offering specialistaion in fashion design, textile and interior design under the bachelor of design course. 

NEET success

Twentyfive students of the St Soldier Group of Institutions cleared the NEET. Chairman Anil Chopra and Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra congratulated the students, parents and school management and said in the general category, Jasraj Singh (2969 rank), Nurnihal, Divyanshu Sharma, Ainna Sehgal, Gagandeep, Garima, Priyanshu Chawla, Arshiya Kaushal, Lovepreet Kaur, Jasleen, Diksha, Almas Bhangura, Rupinder Kaur, Bhavya, Aditya, Sudhanshu, Akanksha, Sara, Hardik cleared the exam while in the SC category, Mayur Duggal (3601 rank), Vaneeta Kumari (8300 rank), Prabhjot Kaur, Tamana cleared it. In the OBC category, Maninder Singh (1791 rank) and Puesh Saini cleared NEET. 

Meritorious students

Students of BCA at the PG department of computer science and applications in of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya secured merit positions in the recently declared results of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Nidhi Biswas secured the sixth position with 617 out of 800 marks, Pooja Rani stood seventh in the merit list with 615 out of 800 marks. Deepshikha, Simranjit and Anmol Dhillon bagged 11th, 12th and 23rd positions with 600, 599 and 577 out of 800 marks respectively.. 

Classes for competitive exam

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is starting classes for CA-CPT, the CA-Common Proficiency Test, from July 2017 in its premises. Principal Prof Dr Ajay Sareen told that these classes would be conducted by experienced faculty and the batch size would be limited. Classroom sessions and doubt clearing sessions would be organised. Mock tests will be held to boost the confidence of students. Registration is already open and students from outside the college can also join these classes.
