Kids visit Rangla Punjab

Jalandhar: As many as 200 students of Sanskriti KMV School along with their teachers visited Rangla Punjab on Wednesday.

Jalandhar: As many as 200 students of Sanskriti KMV School along with their teachers visited Rangla Punjab on Wednesday. They enjoyed watching puppet show and relished their favourite delicacies. Principal Rachna Monga said students at this age learn to move and observe from their surroundings through such outings.

Football match

The Nobel School organised an inter-house football tournament. All four houses of the school — Sen, Raman, Tagore and Teresa — participated in the match. In the first match, Tagore House was the winner, while Sen House was the winner of the second match. The final match was played between both wherein Sen House won by 5-0   goals. Principal Meenakshi Mehta and manager Kapil Sharma along with the staff enjoyed the football match.

Students shine in taekwondo

Shreya, a student of Class III, Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, bagged a gold medal in fifth National Tang Su Do Championship. Vansh of Class VIII won a bronze medal in Punjab School Taekwondo Championship. Shreya and Vansh are siblings. Shreya has played at Punjab School and Open Taekwondo Championship and won three gold, one silver at national level and one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the state level. Vansh Vasudev has bagged one gold, two silver and one bronze at Punjab School and Open Championship.

Make-up artist contest held

The Department of Cosmetology, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV), organised ‘best make-up artist’ competition on Wednesday. More than 25 students participated in the competition. Neha, Amrit and Meera won the first prize. Gursimran, Simrandeep and Sunita got the second prize and Sapna, Shivani and Rajni stood third. A consolation prize was given to Neetu.

CT professors bag honour

Anurag Sharma, Assistant Professor, CT Institute Of Technology & Research (CTITR), Maqsudan, and Varun Nayyar, Assistant Professor, Electronics & Communication, Shahpur campus, received Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) section Best Teacher Award 2017 on Wednesday. The event was held at Rayat Institute of Engineering and Information Technology. NP Singh, Dean, Planning and External Programs, IKG Punjab Technical University, presented the award to both. TNS
