Make needy aware of their rights: PLSA

JALANDHAR: The District and Sessions Judge-cum-Member Secretary of the Punjab Legal Services Authority (PLSA), Mohali, Harpreet Kaur Jeevan on Tuesday, underscored the need for making more and more needy people aware of their legal rights through a massive awareness campaign.

The District and Sessions Judge-cum-Member Secretary of the Punjab Legal Services Authority (PLSA), Mohali, Harpreet Kaur Jeevan on Tuesday, underscored the need for making more and more needy people aware of their legal rights through a massive awareness campaign.

Jeevan held a detailed meeting with the para-legal volunteers here at the local Alternate Dispute Redressal (ADR) centre. During the meeting she said the para-legal volunteers must come forward and play an instrumental role in making the needy people aware of their legal rights.

She also called upon the para-legal volunteers to dedicate themselves for the well being of the people through such sustainable efforts. She also visited the children’s home, children’s home for girls, observation home and widow home in the afternoon. She directed the in-charges of the home that those people who want to go to their parents or their in-laws from these homes must be allowed to do so by expediting the process.
