Jalandhar, August 7
A man was found dead under mysterious conditions near the city railway station today. The deceased is yet to be identified.
The incident came to the light when some passersby noticed a man lying in an unconscious state. They immediately informed at the police control room. Initially the police from Division No 3 arrived but they left without initiating any legal proceedings as the area was in the jurisdiction of the New Baradari police station. Later, ASI Gurcharan from the New Baradari police station arrived and took the body in their custody. The ASI said identification of the body could not be done and was now at the Civil Hospital’s mortuary.—TNS
