Joginder Singh of Nakodar (45) was found murdered on August 15 with sharp-edged weapons in Manila. He had gone there around 25 years ago to earn a livelihood. He is survived by his wife and two children, aged 8 and 10. The family was living with Joginder.
Surjit, brother of the deceased, said Joginder was working as a financier and had gone there so that the condition of the family would improve.
According to him, some persons attacked his brother when he was going for work in the morning.
The family is suspecting personal enmity with someone as the cause of murder. Surjit said the Indian government must help in getting the body back, otherwise, the cremation will be performed in Manila. — TNS
