Jalandhar, May 28
Modifest, an acronym for Making of Developed India Fest, is all set to arrive in Punjab on May 30. The event aims at highlighting the achievements of the NDA government to the general public.
The festival celebrates three years of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in power at the Centre and will be held in six districts of Punjab— Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, Pathankot and Amritsar.
Former Punjab Minister Manoranjan Kalia, also the convener of the celebrations committee, said two teams along with interactive mobile vans will arrive from Delhi to organise the festival in the state. “The fest will be held in two phases. While the mobile vans will visit over five different places in the first three days, commencing from May 30 to June 1, the actual fest will be held later,” said Kalia.
While Modifest will be held from May 30 to June 4 in Hoshiarpur and Amritsar, it will be held from June 6 to 11 at Gurdaspur and Ludhiana. Also, the fest will be held from June 13 to 18 at Jalandhar and Gurdaspur. Aiming to make the event a grand success, the saffron party has roped in Union ministers, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states and parliamentarians to participate in events across the country. — TNS
