PHAGWARA: Monkeys have created panic among residents of the town.

PHAGWARA: Monkeys have created panic among residents of the town. Belongings of many residents have been taken away by a monkey around Hargobind Nagar and Tehsil Complex in the past two days. Several shopkeepers have shut down their shops on seeing monkeys. Many residents complained that sometimes monkeys turned violent. “Many times, they tear clothes,” said a resident. “Some of my neighbours have been attacked by monkeys, but no step has been taken by the civic bodies to solve the problem,” said Manju, a woman residing near the colony.
