JALANDHAR: An open-mic event was organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, here.

An open-mic event was organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, here. Students from various colleges participated in the event that included singing, poetry and comedy.

The centre of attraction were the “Shayaries and Gajals” composed by the young brigade only. The performances in various categories mesmerised the audience.

Students were also quite vocal about the incidents such as Kathua rape case and violence against women. Open mic events were hailed as a platform beyond boundaries on same platform.
