Outreach programme for tax payers held

An outreach programme was conducted for tax payers by the Income Tax Department at the community centre in Noormahal on Saturday.

Assistant Commissioner Priyanka Ahuja along with ITO Joginder Pal singh, Najjar singh and Narender Singh conducted the meet. Taxpayers were enlightened about the importance of paying taxes on time. New provisions regarding penalties on late filing were also stressed upon. The taxpayers were also invited to interact freely in case they had any problems or suggestions regarding tax services.
