Jalandhar: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jasbir Singh on Tuesday exhorted the students to spread the message of creating a harmonious society by wiping out the menace of women exploitation from society.

Addressing the students before flagging off a peace march from the local HMV College, the ADC said the curse of exploitation against women could be wiped only if the students play a proactive role for this mission. He said the students and youth were the real agents of change, and they could transform the society by making efforts in this direction.

Jasbir Singh said every student especially the girls should disseminate the message of equal rights for them in the society, so as to ensure that they could be empowered.

The ADC also said the need of the hour was to educate and empower the girl child besides teaching them to safeguard their interests. He also said every body should work towards achieving this goal so that the girls could be provided a good environment to excel in life. — TNS
