Police install nakas in rural areas

JALANDHAR: Keeping in view the Assembly elections in the state, the Jalandhar Rural police have installed nearly four round-the-clock police check posts in every constituency that would remain functional till the election process is over.

Keeping in view the Assembly elections in the state, the Jalandhar Rural police have installed nearly four round-the-clock police check posts in every constituency that would remain functional till the election process is over.

SP (I) Wazir Singh said, “We have been keeping tight surveillance on suspicious vehicles at the check posts. Keeping tap on cash flow and smuggling of liquor and narcotics is our aim and we have paramilitary forces working along with us on the same. Apart from this, the highway patrolling teams are already working round the clock.”
