City lad Rishi Dev, a tall, handsome and young man who looks every inch a proper star material has made city proud by making waves in the television industry and grabbing a name for himself.

TV watchers know him by the name Naksh, as he is currently seen playing the lead role in the popular soap opera “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain” (yrkkh) and is all set grab more opportunities and come up with his own single track this month.

The 25-year-old who has now become a famous actor and model is an all-time inspiration for many youngsters who aspire to be an actor and fear making their way to the “mayanagri”. “The journey so far has not been easy as it took me years to reach the place where I am today. There had been a time when I was shattered and thought to move back as struggling days are really difficult and break you down completely, but then this city and your hard work has a lot to give you, Bombay has some different magic in its lap,” Rishi said.

Having done his schooling from DAV Model High School and graduation from Doaba College here, the “yrkkh” fame actor says that he always knew he wanted to act and is brought to earth for acting and singing.

Being a son of the production and marketing head Rajesh Sharma, he said acting was in his veins and even his family wanted him to shine on television screen. Sharing his journey he said, “Mumbai is the only place which tests your capabilities best and if luck favours you, this is the only city which makes you star overnight.”

Apart from “yrkkh”, Rishi had also appeared in Sab TV’s show - I luv my India, Bade Bhaiya ki Dulhaniya, Bani – Ishq Da Kalma, Balika Vadhu, Yeh Hai Aashiqui Season 1, 2 and 4, Kota Toppers and MTV BIG F. Rishi is now also active posting videos on Youtube and started his log named ‘Rimorav’ which stands for trio Rishi, Mohena Singh and Gaurav, his co-stars from the yrkkh team.

The trio ‘Rimorav’ wants to explore more and stay connected with their fans and followers so that they come up with the idea of vlog which now has +50K subscribers and currently trending on Youtube.

Sharing about his vlog, he said, “What we are aiming to do here something different that no celebs generally do. What usually one posts on instagram and sanpchat stories, we do in the form of vlog, posting different videos every Saturday and Sunday to have better connectivity with our fans and to give back a small percent of love that our fans give to us. With these vlogs, we can connect better and give them a glimpse into how our daily lives are — on set and off-set as well.”
