CBSE Class XII economics exam which was scheduled for Wednesday, have been declared easier than previous by students and teachers of the district. Majority of the students said, the paper was easy but was bit lengthy.

Amid anger over the reports of the economics paper leak earlier, and after a lot of protests both online and offline, students on Wednesday finally heaved a sigh of relief and were happy that exam was easy and scoring.

“It was a well-balanced paper, which was easy to attempt. I will secure good marks in the exam. Though it was a re-exam, the students were worried the paper would be difficult. We are now thankful to CBSE for setting a good paper,” said Anisha, a student of Delhi Public School.

Rupjeet Kaur, a student of St Soldiers School said, “All questions were based on concepts. There was no question that was out of syllabus. The paper was direct but was bit lengthy but thanks to my understanding of the subject I developed at school, I found all questions easy.”

“It was quiet an easy paper. Not as tough as we had been expecting to be. I look forward to a good result,” said Harshit Sikka, a student of Police DAV Public School here.

“The previous question paper as well Wednesday’s was a fine example of a balancing act. It was designed to accommodate all genres of students, while at the same time to hurl some challenge to the student intelligentsia. All in all, it was a student-friendly paper. The questions were straight forward, not with much twist”, said Neetu Gupta, a commerce teacher.

Another student Jaskaran Singh said, “The paper was based on our NCERT books. It was a good paper and even average student can easily pass with good marks. And I really found the level of this paper and previous one completely equal but somewhere I am having a feeling that the first paper would have scored me even better.”
