Phagwara, September 3
Union Minister of State Vijay Sampla today provided free life insurance cover of Rs 2 Lakh to 350 girls in Phagwara and Begowal.
In Phagwara Sampla gave this cover to 150 girls students in Cambridge School and 200 girls were facilitated with this insurance cover in Begowal. The scheme was introduced by the government under Pardhan Mantri Surakhiya Beema Yojana.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Som Parkash, Deputy Commissioner Daljit Singh Mangat, SDM Keshaw Hingonia, besides Bibi Jagir Kaur also attended the functions in Phagwara and Begowal, respectively.
Sampla announced to provide this insurance cover for 1,100 more girls soon.
