Innocent Hearts School in Green Model Town conducted a seminar for teachers on the topic “Teaching methodology andclass management”. Rishabh Khanna, neuro linguistic programming practitioner and transactional analyst was the resource person. He stressed upon the “learning culture” and encouraged teachers to use the “self-discovery” mode during their lessons. While conducting the seminar, he discussed case studies related to students and reiterated the changes occurring in the existing educational system and problems these cause to the children. Director Principal of the school Dheeraj Banati thanked the resource person. Ambika Pasrija conducted the stage. Dr Anup Bowry, academic secretary of the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, said such seminars would be regularly conducted to keep the teachers motivated.

Softball team

The softball team of KMV has won the first runner-up position by defeating HMV, Jalandhar, by 0-10 and Khalsa College, Amritsar team by 4-14. Five sportspersons of the team, Amarjit, Veerpal Kaur, Yuvika, Rajni and Swati have been selected for the All India Inter-university Championship to be held at Kottayam (Kerala). Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the winners. She congratulated the faculty of the department of physical education for creating players of high quality.

National Youth Day

The NSS Unit and Youth Welfare Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated National Youth Day under the guidance of Principal Dr Ajay Sareen. During the event, Assistant Professor Urvashi gave information regarding digitisation. She also talked of different procedures to buy and sell goods without paying money in cash under the ‘Digital India’ programme. Students and staff participated in the event. Principal Dr Ajay Sareen said it was the need of the hour to be technologically advanced. On the occasion, Navroop, dean, youth welfare department, Kuljeet Kaur and Veena Arora, programme officer of NSS unit were also present.
