Jalandhar: MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar City witnessed special assembly for Sunita Nanda, a dynamic, versatile personality on her Superannuation. Nanda was given a floral welcome by K S Randhawa, officiating principal. She joined this institute in 1992 and has completed more than 25 years. During her tenure, she worked as Head Examiner, House Master, Incharge of Environment Club, Head of Biology Department and Coordinator for Senior Secondary Wing. Her students revived nostalgic memories shared with Nanda during their school journey with her. Activist interacts with students
Jalandhar: A social activist Parveen Abrol interacted with the female students of CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan, where an eighth motivational talk was organised under the campaign ‘She Walks She Talks series” of enhancing women empowerment. “She walks she talks” is all about great women having achieved pinnacle of their respective fields. Continuing with this spirit of encouragement and motivation, Parveen Abrol, a known social worker from Divya Drishti was the key note speaker of today’s talk series. She has made remarkable contribution for the betterment of the weaker sections especially women. She shared her personal experiences of dealing with issues like domestic violence and harrassment. Students excel in +2 exams
Jalandhar: Making the institution proud, students of Kamla Nehru Junior College for Women Phagwara bagged excellent result in PSEB Class 12th exam results. In Arts stream the result of the college remained 100 per cent. Student Prerna secured 86.88 per cent, Jasmeet Kaur secured 85.11 per cent, Bhawna Singla secured 84.22 per cent, Neha secured 82 per cent while Salma secured 80.88 per cent marks. In Commerce stream, Gurleen Kaur secured 90.88 per cent, Simran secured 89.55 per cent, Lovejit Kaur secured 85.11 per cent, Komal secured 84.44 per cent while Deepinder Kaur and Manpreet Kaur both secured 80.88 per cent marks. In Medical stream, Neetu Rani made the institution proud by securing 92.88 per cent marks. Farewell at Trinity College
Jalandhar: A farewell Programme Adieu-2018 was organised in Trinity College here. Rev Fr Peter was the chief guest of the day. The Program commenced with prayer song. Elizabeth, a student of the college gave a warm welcome to the gathering. Students of the college presented skit, dance and Bhangra with great zeal and enthusiasm. All the departments of the college presented prizes of different activities held throughout the year. Excellency Awards were given to Priyanka, Pradeep, Kunal, Elizabeth and Sahil Bhatti.
