A private school student, Nobel, today sat on a dharna in front of the residence of Congress MLA from Jalandhar Cantonment, seeking action against private schools for increasing the fee.

Nobel, who had organised several protests against private schools against fee hike, said, “In this Assembly session, the government must discuss and do something constructive to tackle this oppressive attitude by private schools.” She said, “The schools have been asking parents to buy books from particular shops which have been selling books higher than actual rates in the market.”

She wants the government must take a strict action against the private schools for fleecing parents.
