Tanda couple’s bodies found hanging in Goa

The bodies of a youth and a Class XII girl student from Tanda, who had run away from their homes sometime ago, were found hanging from a tree on October 18 near a beach in Goa.

The bodies have been kept at Goa Medical College, and after getting the information about the incident, the Tanda police have informed both families regarding the matter.

Narinder Kaur of Kaloa had complained in the Tanda police station that her 17-year-old daughter Harinder Kaur had been abducted on the promise of marriage by 25-year-old married man Baljeet Singh, alias Bunty, a resident of Bassi Jalal, who was working at a tent store in front of her house.

In this regard, the Tanda police had registered a case against Bunty. After this, on October 19, the news of the death of both came and both families were in a shock. Bunty’s father runs a flour mill in Bassi Jalal village and he himself was working as a catering labourer at the tent house.

Police station in charge Surinder Pal Singh told reporters that they had got photographs of both deceased from Goa. The kin of both were informed about the incident and they identified them. The Goa Police were informed about this. “Jagdeep Singh, the investigating officer in the case, lodged a complaint in the Tanda police station. He will accompany relatives of both deceased to Goa.”
