Transgender hurt in attack

Jalandhar, April 30

A transgender was brutally attacked at a water park situated on the Jandu Singha road today.

The victim said she had gone with one of her friends to the water park. While they were inside the pool, some boys came on the spot and started making obscene gestures aimed at them.

When they resisted them, they dragged them out of the pool and threw them towards a glass enclosure.

While one of the victims sustained severe injuries, the condition of the other victim was said to be critical.

The police have registered a case in the matter and have begun to look for the accused, one of whom is reported to be known as “Ghoda” in the area. — TNS
