Vidya Jain School beat the daredevils MGN School in the final of the Bhai Gobind Singh Pasricha Memorial 18th All-India (U-19) Inter-CBSE Schools Cricket Tournament by seven runs today.
Vidya Jain School won the toss and decided to bat. With the arrival of international cricketer Chetan Sharma, a new enthusiasm was seen in the budding players.
The match was scheduled for 20 overs.
Vidya Jain School scored 130 runs at the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
MGN School scored 124 runs in 20 overs at the loss of six wickets.
Varinder Sharma Deputy Commissioner came to witness the final and was given a warm welcome by Jarnail Singh Pasricha, secretary, MGN Educational Trust.
Chetan Sharma told students that respecting teachers was the key to success.
During the closing ceremony giddha and bhangra was performed by students of MGN School.
