BJP ministers today came under fire at a meeting of the office-bearers convened by party’s national general secretary Ram Madhav to review functioning of the organisation and the coalition government in the state.
The architect of the PDP-BJP government, Madhav, had called the meeting to discuss organisational matters and other issues related to the functioning of the government but the annoyed party leaders seized the opportunity to expose the party ministers, who were not invited to the meeting.
Highly placed sources said Madhav was surprised when leaders vented their anger against the party ministers. “Earlier, leaders used to listen speech of Ram Madhav without any questions during such meetings. It was for the first time since the formation of the coalition government that the leaders took party ministers to the task,” the sources said, adding, “One of the senior party leaders compared the BJP ministers to their Congress counterparts in the previous regime. He bluntly said BJP ministers were worse then the Congress ministers as far as corruption and style of functioning was concerned.”
The sources said Madhav tried to placate the annoyed leaders but to no avail as they (leaders) continued to expose “misdeeds” of the ministers. The sources said Madhav was surprised to get such a negative feedback about party ministers.
