The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)-affiliated schools in J&K have registered an impressive pass percentage in Class XII board examination, the result of which was declared today.

Monika Sethi, Vice-Principal, Jodhamal Public School, and member of the Jammu Sahodaya School Complex (JSSC), an apex body of all CBSE-affiliated schools, said, “Divya Gupta of Jodhamal Public School has secured 97 per cent marks in the medical stream, while two other students, namely Hardik and Shubam Suri, have secured 96 per cent marks in the non-medical stream. In fact, more than 50 per cent students of our institution have secured above 90 per cent marks in different streams.”

When asked about the details of results of other CBSE-affiliated schools whose students had topped in Class XII board exams, Monika Sethi said, “Every school is in the process of compiling the result, which is a time-consuming process. It is not possible to get all required details in a short span of time. We have given them some days’ time to compile the results and then send it to our office. As per inputs we are getting, the pass percentage in schools is around 90.”

Meanwhile, Rishika Sharma of APS, Akhnoor, secured 94.4 per cent marks in the science stream, while in the commerce stream Sharmila secured 91.4 per cent marks.
