As part of initiatives undertaken by the Army for developing villages close to the Line of Control in the Balakot sector of Poonch district, Commander of Bhimber Gali Brig HS Sahi today dedicated two community centres to villagers. These were constructed under the Sadbhavna initiative in the border villages of Chhapardhara and Bharuti.

Brigadier Sahi the Army would ensure overall development of the villages through initiatives which had been undertaken in conjunction with the civil administration since December 2015. He said various projects had been started in the area with the support of the district administration. These include check dams for irrigation, roads and tracks, polyhouses for growing vegetables and vermi-compost units. — TNS
