The BJP has called upon the state government to deal firmly with the present situation in the Valley.
Party spokesman Virender Gupta said there was no option for the government than meeting the challenge posed by separatists and militants with iron hand, lest the situation should get deteriorated with each passing day.
He claimed that the morale of security forces had gone down because of happenings in the past since lot of restrictions had been imposed on them. They have not been given adequate freedom to tackle the situation, he alleged. He said it would have dangerous consequences as anti-India elements get greater leverage in such circumstances.
Gupta said the process of migration of peace-loving Kashmiri from the Valley has already started. He appealed to the people of Kashmir, in particular the youth, to shun the path of self-destruction and help in restoring normalcy. By resorting to violence, the people of Kashmir are only endangering the very existence of Kashmir, he added.
