Rights body elects office-bearers

JAMMU: The International Human Rights Organisation (IHRO) on Saturday elected its office-bearers for Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu, January 10

The International Human Rights Organisation (IHRO) on Saturday elected its office-bearers for Jammu and Kashmir. Hamid Choudhary was elected the state IHRO chairman and Rajeev Sundan state president.

Balwan Singh was elected state vice-president, Dheeraj Singh state secretary and Daya Ram Daya state media coordinator.

The new team was elected in the presence of Dr Nem Singh Premi, IHRO India chairman, and RR Bag, legal adviser.

Dr Nem Singh stressed on the need to create awareness among the masses at the state and district levels.

He added that the organisation could extend a helping hand to the helpless, the poor and victims of inhuman treatment and exploitation.
