Dineshwar Sharma meets militancy-affected families of Jammu region

JAMMU: Centre’s Special Representative on Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma on Saturday visited Talwara area of Reasi district and interacted with the militancy-affected families of Jammu region putting up in a migrant camp there.

Jammu, November 25

Centre’s Special Representative on Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma on Saturday visited Talwara area of Reasi district and interacted with the militancy-affected families of Jammu region putting up in a migrant camp there.

Sharma heard the issues of the Jammu migrants and took stock of the amenities available in the camp.

He is scheduled to meet various political, social and other delegations in Jammu in the afternoon.

Before leaving for the Kashmir Valley on Sunday, Sharma will visit the people living in the areas along the Line of Control and International Border to take stock of their issues.

On Friday, Sharma called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Governor NN Vohra in Jammu and discussed various issues on the current scenario of the state and the recent confidence-building measures taken by the Centre for the state.

Sharma also visited Jagti Migrant Township in Nagrota on the outskirts of Jammu city and met Kashmiri Pandit migrants there.
