JAMMU: The Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma on Wednesday inspected the pace of work on the upcoming sewage treatment projects and preparedness of departments concerned for the monsoon season. The Divisional Commissioner visited Belicharana, Krishna Nagar, Bhagwati Nagar and other places along with Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Rashpal Singh, and other officials. During the visit, he also interacted with shopkeepers and traders at Krishna Nagar. The shopkeepers informed the Divisional Commissioner that they were facing immense problems due to a delay in the construction work of a nullah in the area, which overflows during rain and its water enters their shops. Responding to the issues raised by the shopkeepers, Verma asked the executing agency to expedite the work and complete it at the earliest. TNS
