A delegation of social activists here on Friday apprised Governor NN Vohra of the efforts being made to promote an environment of peace in the state.

The delegation comprised Mohammad Shafi Pandit, chairman, Ascent Group, Nighat Shafi Pandit, chairperson, Human Effort for Love and Peace (HELP) Foundation, and Anand David, founder director, Management Foundation for Organisation Research and Development (MANFORD).

The delegation apprised the Governor of the significant outcomes from the MANFORD-HELP Foundation collaborative endeavours to promote an environment of peace and understanding in the state. It briefed the Governor about their activities to attain collective goals.

The Governor appreciated their efforts and observed that in the obtaining environment in the state, the NGOs and civil society organisations could play a significant role in promoting peace and lasting harmony in society.
