Muneer Ahmad Khan, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Home Guards, Disaster Management and Security, called on Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here today.
Khan briefed the Governor about several important matters relating to security management in the state.
Complimenting Khan for his endeavours during his tenure as the police chief in the Valley, the Governor emphasised the vital importance of urgently carrying out a security audit of all vulnerable places, vital installations and sensitive establishments in each of the three regions of the state.
Meanwhile, Saubhagya Vardhan, director, North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Patiala, also called on the Governor.
Vardhan briefed the Governor about the initiatives planned by the NZCC to preserve, innovate and promote art forms in J&K.
The Governor emphasised the importance of well-considered efforts being made to preserve and popularise the fast vanishing folk arts, music, songs and dances in the state.
