J&K Bank apprises Guv of steps taken for expansion

SRINAGAR: Parvez Ahmed, chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, called on Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here today.



Srinagar, October 18

Parvez Ahmed, chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, called on Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here today.

An official statement said Ahmed apprised the Governor about the steps initiated by the bank in the past one year for expanding its services and increasing its infrastructure, particularly for promoting digital economy.

The Governor discussed with the chairman the need for the bank to provide targeted financial support to identified segments of the state’s economy, especially under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, and stressed the bank’s responsibility to speed up the growth and development of the state. — TNS
