Mehbooba lays stone of college block at SKIMS

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today laid the foundation of the college block and 250-bed hospital block of SKIMS Medical College at Bemina here.

To be built at a cost of Rs 172.25 crore, the complex would have all facilities of modern healthcare for the convenience of people, an official spokesman said.

The Chief Minister directed the executing agencies to complete the project within three years to avoid cost or time overrun. She hoped that with these extended facilities, people of catchment areas would get all modern healthcare facilities at the hospital.

Mehbooba, who is also the chairperson of the SKIMS governing body, asked the principal of the college to get all machines and diagnostic equipment available by the time the construction of the complex was completed.
