Militant killed in gunfight in J&K’s Kupwara

SRINAGAR: One militant was killed on Thursday in an ongoing gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.



Srinagar, July 12

One militant was killed on Thursday in an ongoing gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The unidentified militant was brought down in the Sadu Ganga forest area during an encounter with the army, Defence Ministry sources said. An AK-47 rifle was recovered from the slain terrorist.

An army commando, Sepoy Mukul Meena of 3 PARA regiment was killed in the same gunfight on Wednesday. IANS
