Jammu, July 25
Mobile internet services were restored in Jammu on Monday evening after remaining suspended for 17 days following violent protests and widespread unrest in the Valley in the aftermath of the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani.
The state government had suspended the mobile internet services across Jammu and Kashmir on July 9 to check spreading of rumours by anti-social elements. There were apprehensions that anti-social elements could flare up unrest in the state by circulating controversial messages and videos through social networking sites.
