Jammu, August 20
Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Manhas today laid the foundation stone for the upgrade of a school building.
He released Rs 13 lakh out of his MPLAD fund to improve the infrastructure of Government Higher Secondary School, Paloura, so that the enrolment of students was improved.
Manhas said the matter will be taken up with the authoritiesfor formulation of a comprehensive plan for the school upgrade
The school started functioning in the early 1950s and is one of the oldest schools which is also a heritage of the village. — TNS
