Over 50 screened for diabetes, kidney ailments

JAMMU: The Fortis Escorts Heart Institute today organised a camp at Shri Durga Dass Memorial Hospital, Channi Himmat, to screen patients.



Jammu, June 23

The Fortis Escorts Heart Institute today organised a camp at Shri Durga Dass Memorial Hospital, Channi Himmat, to screen patients.

A team of doctors led by Dr TS Kler, executive director, Cardiac Sciences and Dr Vijay Kher, chairman, Urology and Renal Transplantation, screened over 50 patients at the day-long camp. The patients hailed from areas in and around Jammu and Srinagar.

The objective of the camp was to offer quality healthcare access to the people residing in Jammu, Srinagar and adjacent areas. Many of the patients screened suffered from high blood pressure, diabetes and symptoms of kidney diseases. — TNS
