SC gives J&K govt three weeks’ time to decided whether to hold exams

NEW DELHI: Refusing to stay examinations in Jammu and Kashmir schools on account of the devastating floods that affected the state last year, the Supreme Court on Friday directed the state government to decided on whether to waive examinations this year in three weeks’ time.

Refusing to stay examinations in Jammu and Kashmir schools on account of the devastating floods that affected the state last year, the Supreme Court on Friday directed the state government to decided on whether to waive examinations this year in three weeks’ time.

 

The apex court, which was hearing a petition seeking en block promotions for students and calling off the annual examinations, has ordered the state government to take a call.
