Principal, staff and students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, on Thursday congratulated Japleen Kour for topping the science stream in the Class XII J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) examination, the result of which was declared on April 25.
Japleen Kour secured 98.2 per cent marks. Celebrations were held in the school on Thursday.
Principal Tahira Shawl said: “I am immensely proud of the result of Class XII students of our school, especially Japleen Kour for bring laurels. I acknowledge my staff, students and their parents for this achievement.”
Meanwhile, Japleen Kour, while talking to The Tribune, said she was expecting around 95 per cent marks.
“The way I had prepared for the examination, I was expecting around 95 per cent marks, but I am happy that I got more than that and more importantly secured the top position,” an elated Japleen Kour said. —TNS
