Srinagar, MAY 23

MP Mehbooba Mufti today said a regional transformer repairing workshop would be set up at Anantnag, which would cater to the needs of South Kashmir.

She said this while chairing the District Electricity Committee meeting at Anantnag.

An official spokesman said during the meeting, Mehbooba asserted that the present coalition government would ensure scheduled electricity supply, besides potable water and road connectivity. Necessary steps were being taken in this regard, the effects of which will be felt at ground level very soon.

“Transparency will be ensured at all levels and corrupt officers will not be tolerated in the administration,” she said.

Mehbooba asked all the officers concerned to ensure uninterrupted scheduled power supply in the district as the damaged infrastructure of electric poles and wires was being replaced under various Centre-sponsored schemes.
