Two absconders booked in criminal cases arrested in Jammu

JAMMU: Two absconders, booked in various criminal cases, were arrested in Jammu district, police said on Tuesday. The accused, identified as Sheetal Kumar, was arrested from Bahu Fort area of the city on Monday night, a police officer said.

Two absconders, booked in various criminal cases, were arrested in Jammu district, police said on Tuesday.

The accused, identified as Sheetal Kumar, was arrested from Bahu Fort area of the city on Monday night, a police officer said.

He was wanted in a case from 2013 under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC), including punishment for voluntarily causing hurt and punishment for wrongful restraint, the officer said.

In another incident, a police team arrested an absconder Ramesh Kumar in Muthi belt of the city on Monday night, they said, adding that the accused was booked for theft in 2016. PTI
