Srinagar, September 24
Days after the deadly ‘fidayeen’ attack, security forces arrested two nationals of PoK who were working for militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad and acted as guides for infiltrating groups along the LoC in the Uri sector.
Defence spokesman in Srinagar Colonel Rajish Khalia said the duo was arrested in a joint operation by the Army and BSF on September 21.
“During the investigation, the individuals have revealed their identities as Ahasan Kursheed, alias DC of Khaliana Kalan, and Faisal Hussain Awan of Pottha Jahangir. Both areas fall in PoK,” the Army said. —TNS
