Two rescued from flash floods in Tawi

JAMMU: Two persons were rescued from flash floods in the Tawi near Har-ki-Pauri temple in the city, the police said today.

Two persons were rescued from flash floods in the Tawi near Har-ki-Pauri temple in the city, the police said today.

The police and the ITBP personnel carried out a joint operation to save the trapped persons, the police said.

Information about two persons, Varun and Shubham of Resham Garh Colony, getting trapped in flash floods in the river was received at the Bagh-e-Bahu police station, a police officer said. Following which, a police team was rushed to the spot and a rescue operation was launched with the help of the ITBP personnel, who are deployed as permanent guard at Har-ki-Pauri temple complex, he said. — PTI
