SRINAGAR: Former police chief of the Kashmir region AM Watali called on Governor NN Vohra here today and presented to him a copy of ‘Kashmir Intifada’, published recently.

Former police chief of the Kashmir region AM Watali called on Governor NN Vohra here today and presented to him a copy of ‘Kashmir Intifada’, published recently.

The book traces the history and progression of events which led to the emergence of militancy in Kashmir. The Governor has lauded Watali’s initiatives to record an “insider’s view” of the events which led to the beginning of the troubles in Kashmir and expressed the hope that the book would be of high interest to those who seek to understand the Kashmir issue. — TNS
