Firms on new recruitment paths

Technology has taken over the world and so is the field of recruitment. With the introduction of video recruitment the hiring has become more convenient. The candidate no longer needs to travel across the country to be hired. There is no need for any upfront investment. It has shortened the time taken for hiring.

Video interviews

Video recruitments provide insights about the interviewee’s competencies, abilities and personality similar to personal interviews. Technology has shortened the process of hiring as the need of travelling has been eliminated from the process. It has overcome the drawback of absenteeism of the candidates on the day of interview. Now HR provides many options for conducting interviews based on the mutual consent of the interviewee and interviewer.

Effective consulting

Yet another way that has been adopted is having  recruitment consultants. There are various recruitment agencies and consultants that are available in the job market to take up the job of hiring the talent for the companies as per their requirement.

Not only do these professionals hire the candidates but also train them as per the needs of the company. This has helped the companies in a dual platform. These consultants have their network all over the country and other countries as well from where they fetch the candidates. They not only help the companies but also have been helping the job seekers to connect with their future employers. They have a pool of unemployed or working professional who are looking for a change in job/ waiting to take up the first break of their career.

Portal push

Digitalisation has also entered the field of recruitment in the form of job portals. With the introduction of various job portals HR has got a leg up. Instead of investing on advertising for requirement, the companies can assess the database of candidates who have already registered with these sites with ease by paying a reasonable amount. Personal details of the candidates registered with these sites are kept confidential and the candidates are updated regularly through emails regarding new openings.

This has benefited both the companies and employees in getting the best options available in the job market. The job search can be customised according to the choice now.

With the introduction of these trends in the process of hiring the work of HR has become easy.  However, the HR of a company needs to be more attentive towards the best  job portal or recruitment consultant, so that work can be outsourced to them.
