There are around 300 million Internet users in India, and most of them are using social media platforms but, we can’t overlook the impact of blogging. Blogs have become an Integral part of the online culture. As per a recent survey 20 per cent of Internet users are involved in blogging and are willing to take up blogging as a career or a part-time earning resource. Practically most of the Internet users read blogs now, whether they are “official” news blogs associated with traditional news media, topic-based blogs related to one's passion or hobby or blogs purely for the sake of entertainment. Nowadays, people have started blogging about topics related to their passions or hobbies, like there are a number of blogs based on beauty, music, art, sports etc.

Many bloggers write on a part-time basis to give time to their passion and it is an icing on the cake for them to earn through these blogs. Many bloggers have taken up blogging as their preferred career choice and are professional bloggers now. These people earn through writing about their passions or hobbies. As per a study an average blogger who is blogging on a part-time basis can earn up to Rs5,000 per month. If he is a full-time blogger, then his earnings could be up to Rs 20,000 per month and a professional blogger earns close to Rs 40,000 monthly. As a matter of fact, in blogging one doesn't make money so easily. Even to earn a penny one has to work hard for many months.

There are many ways to earn through blogging; one can host advertisements on one's blog. Paid articles can be published on the blogs but to get advertisers to advertise on your blog or to get people who are eager to post on your page, one has to work a lot to increase the reach of the blog. The higher the reach of your blog the more you will earn. There are many ways through which one can increase the reach of a page, like writing about a topic that you are knowledgeable or passionate about on an appropriate platform. There are many online tools such as Google Keywords Tool that can help you to get appropriate keywords, which will increase the reach of your blog. Appropriate SEO and SEM increases traffic on your blogs, which, in return, increases the clicks on your blog. Increased clicks and reach of your blog attracts more advertisers to advertise on your blog, which increases your earning. But get into this cycle one has to update one's blog on a regular basis and the content should be original, interactive and attractive.

So it is clear that one can make good money by blogging. There are an ever-increasing number of people making money from blogging at part-time or full-time levels. So start your blog now and write about the thing you like the most and earn a living through it.
