As many as 15 start-ups have come together to launch a gamified hunt to find the best Sales and Marketing talent from across campuses in India.
The contest titled "The Wolf of ChalkStreet" is open to all UG/PG students irrespective of discipline of study and year of study. They must be a currently enrolled UG/PG student at any Higher Educational Institution in India.
In its first edition, Wolf of ChalkStreet saw 20 recruiting partners and 12,000+ participants (including from IITs). "This time we are targeting over 30,000 students and an outreach to over 3 million people for the contest", says Rajesh Kumar, co-founder of ChalkStreet.com.
The participants can register in teams of 3 each to tackle a series of Sales and Marketing challenges, each contributing a certain number of points. The teams with the highest number of points qualify for a pitching round in Bangalore in front of C-level execs from top emerging start-ups.
The winning team and the runner-up will win cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 50,000, respectively. There are also other prizes worth up to Rs 20 lakh for the top teams, including for daily and weekly leaderboard toppers. Partners and sponsors will also host a series of sub-contests during the duration of the contest which runs from 16 Jan 2017 to 12 Feb 2017.
Organised by online learning marketplace ChalkStreet.com, the contest is supported by a host of sponsors, including Chillr. Recruitment partners such as Chai Point, Darwinbox, Fitcircle, Furlenco, Homelane, LetsMath, Ninjacart, Swiggy, Turaco Mobile, Vaahika, Xobin, Zelo, Zivame and Zopper will look to scout for Sales and Marketing talent from the top teams that emerge from this contest.
