The Department of Landscape, University of Sheffield , UK  is offering two scholarships exclusively for students from India who wish to apply for the MA Landscape Architecture starting in September 2017.

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and a supporting statement.

Eligibility: The candidates must be an Indian national and should have completed an application for MA Landscape Architecture.  The candidate should be self-funding and classed as 'Overseas' for fee purposes 

Details: The scholarship is a competitive award worth 50 per cent of  the course tuition fee —  £19,000  per year.

Social Sciences International Scholarships 

The University of Sheffield, UK  is offering Social Sciences International Scholarships to international undergraduate students starting their studies in the Faculty of Social Sciences from September 2017.

The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction only. 

Eligibility: Students  must hold an offer of a study place and begin their undergraduate studies in September 2017 in any one of the following departments: Architecture, East Asian Studies, Economics, Education, Geography, Journalism Studies, Landscape, Politics, Sheffield Methods Institute, Sociological Studies, Urban Studies and Planning.

The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of study. Students  can also receive this in each subsequent year of study, subject to achieving 60 per cent or above in the previous academic year. 

Details: The scholarships are worth £2,000 per year.

Global Leaders Scholarship for Indian business students

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne, is offering up to 10 Global Leaders Scholarships for Indian students for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships are available to pursue postgraduate degree programme in the field of business

Eligibility: The candidate must be an Indian citizen and should apply from India

The candidate must have excellent academic background (students must have a minimum score of 70% from a Section 1 institution, or 75% from a Section 2 or 3 institution

The candidate must be enrolled for a PG programme in a business course.   

How to apply: In order to apply the candidate will be required to follow the given criteria:

Select an eligible programme.

Submit an application to study at RMIT.

Receive an offer to study at RMIT in Semester 1, 2017.

Submit an application form for this scholarship.

Details: Scholarships of AU$10,000 value will be awarded for the duration of the programme.

MBA Scholarships

Strathclyde Business School (SBS) is offering SBS India applicants the opportunity to apply for India full-time MBA scholarships 2017  to undertake a Strathclyde MBA (one year, full time study) in Glasgow, UK, commencing September 2017.

Details: The maximum value of the scholarship is £7000

Eligibility: Applicants for these awards will be considered on the basis of their MBA applications and interview performance.  In addition, each applicant will be asked  to complete a 1,000 word (maximum) statement on a current issue impacting Indian business and their  views on how this issue could be resolved.

Scholarship for school kids

Samsung India has announced ‘Samsung Star Scholar’ scholarships for 150 outstanding students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools who have qualified for an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or a National Institute of Technology (NIT)  in India.

Selection of students for the programme will begin from the 2016-17 academic sessions of BTech/Dual Degree (BTech + MTech) based on their ranking in the JEE  (Mains). 

Details: The scholarship recipients will receive financial support of up to Rs 2 lakh annually, which is intended to cover a significant share of their educational expenses, including tuition, hostel and mess expenses.
