Ed-Tech company, Avishkaar Box, has announced ‘Avishkaar Summer Internship Camp’ for students.  The objective of this internship programme is to encourage students to explore and learn the nitty gritties of research & development behind the every product and enlighten them on how an organisation works to achieve a common goal. 

For the internship camp, the company received more than 100 entries out of which only seven interns were selected for the programme. Out of these five are Class IX to XII students and two are BTech students. Under this internship programme, interns will be working in multiple departments would learn the Innovative Projects which will involve Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Designing of Manuals for Electronics, Mechanical & Robotics, Exposure to Practical Laboratory classes in schools, Content Writing on Robotics, Content Marketing campaigns, social Media marketing strategy and Brand promotion with experiential marketing.

QS ranking for Thapar engineering institute

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala has been ranked in the 801-1000 bracket among the 1,011 institutions ranked globally in the world’s leading and most comprehensive QS World University Rankings.

TIET performance is in the top 79 per cent with citations per faculty being the strongest indicator for TIET. QS Rankings focuses on six prominent key parameters, including academic reputation (40 per cent), employer reputation (10per cent), faculty student (20per cent), citations per faculty (20per cent), international faculty (5per cent) and international students (5 per cent). TIET has ranked internationally previously as well. In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, it ranked in the 801-1000 bracket worldwide. It was 18th joint among 42 institutions in India.  In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), TIET garnered 20th rank in the engineering institutions category, 33rd rank in the University category and 50th in the overall category.  — TNS
