Anushqa croons an English song

Anushqa, who broke on the music scene with the first season of India’s only English singing talent hunt show The Stage, has not just signed up with Universal Music in India, but is also set to debut internationally with a single under the label VIRGIN EMI. Her track is titled Something In Common and it will be launched this August. We hear the music video of the single has been shot in London. Interestingly, Anushqa has even written and performed two Bollywood songs, Stay a little longer and Lost without you for the movie Half Girlfriend. 

Talking about her international debut, Anushqa shares, “When I was a contestant on The Stage, I had no prior experience in this field. Feedback from the judges was immensely helpful to make myself a better artiste each day and Devraj has been a mentor to me since the first episode of the show. I think the real journey began post the show. I went over to the universal music office for a song-writing session once and things just took off from there.”
