Chances are that you might dismiss Anjali Raut Gill’s talks about her three-year-old daughter because it would require a special microscope to examine this leggy lass’s real age! Crowned Mrs India West 2017, Anjali doesn’t look a day older than 24 or 25. But here she is, the Mrs (age not to be disclosed) eyeing the Mrs World title. In Chandigarh, Anjali, who is supermodel Alesia Rauts’s sister, talks about multitasking, her passions and more.

“The way women can handle things deserves applause,” says the pretty woman from Mumbai, who comes down to Chandigarh often to meet her in-laws. You don’t look married and you have a daughter too...Anjali smiles, “My mother is a Russian, so we are simply blessed with the genes. I shrunk after pregnancy and my husband gained weight. So, the joke was who actually delivered a baby.” Anjali was the finalist at Miss India 2010 and she has walked the ramp for many prestigious shows. 

No pressure

What about the constant pressure of getting into shape post pregnancy? Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachachan knows all about it! “This is because she was in the public eye; however, I feel it is absolutely normal to gain weight post pregnancy.”

Preparing for the finale that takes place in Chennai, Anjali, who runs a talent management company and a modelling school, believes it doesn’t require rigorous effort. “When I prepare contestants for various shows, I too pick up a thing or two in the process.” With a three-year-old daughter to take care of, this would not be an easy process! “It’s okay I can handle this. I am into pranic healing and Nichiren Buddhism; this keeps me calm and gives me the energy to keep going.”
